Getting Started

Getting Started

At CrossFit Tulsa, we offer 1 on 1 personal training, small group training, and large group training. We have skill requirements that must be met before being allowed to join the main group classes.  This is to ensure each one has an effective workout, while maintaining safety, and having fun.

How you join CrossFit Tulsa will depend greatly on your current health/fitness level, and your personal goals. The two routes to join CrossFit Tulsa are by attending our On Ramp program, or 1 on 1 personal training with our coaches.

1 on 1 Personal Training

1 on 1 personal training is ideal for individuals who's situation warrant more specialized attention on their fitness journey. 1 on 1 personal training is also for individuals who's time schedule does not allow for attending On Ramp or group classes.

In 1 on 1 personal training, you will be building your general fitness foundation, while allowing the trainer to tailor the fitness program to your personal goals.

If you are:

  • new to fitness and generally sedentary
  • needing programming tailored specific to sports performance goals
  • have significant orthopedic or other medical issues
  • being referred to us by your Physician or Physical Therapist

You will gain the most success by beginning at CrossFit Tulsa with 1 on 1 personal training.

Following your initial private training sessions, your trainer will assess your skill level, and you can either join the main group classes, or continue with personal training.

On Ramp Program

Most of our new members begin with the On Ramp program.

We offer the On Ramp program to provide you the knowledge and instruction you need to lay a solid foundation to achieve your fitness goals within our main group classes.

Our On Ramp program meets 3 evenings a week for 4 weeks, During these classes you will learn the basic exercises that make up a majority of all CrossFit workouts.

On Ramp Program focuses on teaching the movement and proper form to safely perform an exercise. The On Ramp coaches begin by teaching you the most basic and non technical movements, and slowly progress to the more technical movements by the end of the program. We want to ensure that you are able to perform each exercise safely by the time you graduate On Ramp and start attending regular group classes at CrossFit Tulsa.

At the end of each On Ramp class, there is a workout that progressively challenges the new member, so you will be getting stronger as you go along.

Class sizes are kept small to give every new member ample attention from the On Ramp coaches.

If you would like to join CrossFit Tulsa before the next On Ramp Program session starts, you are welcome to join by taking advantage of our Personal Training services.

Call to schedule an introductory visit at CrossFit Tulsa and meet our trainers, to get started on building a healthier and better you!
