I posted this yesterday, but it was so late I wanted to repost so everyone could see!

Thanks for the post Brandon!! I am so happy that you signed up for the games competition and hope many more will follow in your footsteps! I can't go to bed tonight b/c I am so stinkin' excited to see what the first workout is going to be!!

I am still meeting new people in the evening since my normal workout time is 6am, but I am so blessed to be a part of the CF Tulsa family! I know that I am still new here at CF Tulsa, but I am honestly just having the MOST fun!! I look foward to pushing myself in each and every workout! I am doing things I never thought possible and feeling so strong and confident! The best part is that I know the best results are ahead of me and that is what keeps me motivated!!

My question to everyone is WHY NOT sign up for the games? You have NOTHING to lose! It couldn't be any easier...we can do it at our own gym where we are already comfortable AND everyone here WANTS you to succeed! It's a win win situation for you! I have heard many of you talk about the CF Tulsa family, well, this is what it is about! If I can't make the games as an individual this year, then I want to be able to depend on my family to have my back and step up and challenge themselves to do the workouts and possibly just see how good we can really be TOGETHER and make it as a team!!!

This is a running thing I read, but I changed it up for Crossfit. Exercisers often say that the hardest part of exercising is stepping out the door. I think it starts before that. You have to tie your shoes first. This simple action speaks to a commitment to do the next thing, lift the heavier weight, do the next thruster. You can't do everything all at once, you do a pull-up, some wall balls and a copuple box jumps one at a time. Progress is measured in how far you have come, not how far you have to go. IN fact, if you focus on the 100 pull-ups and 200 push-ups in Murph you are likely to fail. You have to keep it simple: like tying your shoes, stepping out the door, and taking the next step.

I am also challenging everyone alongside Brandon to take the next step and register! I want to be cheering you on the next six weeks!!!

This has been my bible verse since I started to get serious about CF to see what I'm made of so I just wanted to share! - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Col 3:23-24

It's really sad when the dirty side of politics gets shown in the CrossFit Relm. But with the rising competition and the cash awards for the CF Games getting higher, it's to be expected. I love our gym. I love our gym family. And I'm confident in all of our's abilities.

Mine has simply been Phillipians 4:13. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Each and every workout has simply been me silencing the voices from the past that have told me I can't do anything, and proving to myself that I can.

I am registering for the games. I know I have nothing to offer competitively because my priority is my kids and family right now. But I will be here to cheer each and every one of you all on.

In case no one knew...Tia also tore it up at the Midnight Madness competition at CrossFit Jenks this past saturday evening. It was awesome to watch her do movements she had never done before like wall climbs, set a new PR in the Clean at 115# and get after muscle ups in the middle of a WOD...she did great and represented CFT well...as to also mention so did David Brice. He blew up like 285 in the clean and jerk (sadly I missed his last WOD) but he competed and he was sick!
So congrats to them for representing. I look forward to standing next to them and getting after it these next six weeks. That's right, I am registered and ready to go and like Tia lost sleep Sunday night as I was also anxious for the workouts to come.

Now I don't have one verse that I use as my stronghold for crossfit, which I think is awesome that everyone does...but if you have seen my arms lately you should know that I live by the words God told to Joshua..."Be Strong and Courageous!"

I hope to see everyone from CrossFit Tulsa getting after these next 6 weeks...whether for the open or just to better yourself...

Good comments to read, and not to jump on the bandwagon BUT, I read and re-read all those scriptures, plus several more(like Joshua 1:9 psalms 4:8, psalms 23, psalms 27:1-3, psalms 91, psalms 121, John 14:27) to help get me through the isolation of Basic Training, and calm my concerns for my family while I was gone. As soon as I could after 'lights out', as part of my nightly ritual, I put in my ear plugs(smuggled from home)and read those scriputures, then tried to go to sleep amid the juvenile chaos that one can only experience while living with 55+ 18-22 yr olds in the confined spaces of the Army Barracks for 81 days! Oh and I wont even try and explain the joys of having to share 8 showers, 6 sinks, and 6 toilets(if they were all working) with those same youngsters. Sorry I got off track for a minute.
So keeping with the scripture theme of comments made today, I tried to find one for my stupidity in doing the WOD "Bull" yesterday as my 'warm-up' before the Game WOD's begin. I had no luck so feel free to offer suggestions, they would probably be ones that have to do with 'wisdom' or the lack thereof. The 'Bull' WOD sounded like a fine idea yesterday, however my old bones regret it today. And as my time will tell, I will have no "recruiters" knocking on my door!

Just wanted to work form on the oh squat and work some gymnastics with those nasty wall climbs. Du were good except the very start...had to restart twice...kept.moving decently and ended at

Could have been a buy faster if u did not have to restart my du and I was trying to fly through the oh squats. Wall clumbs r tough!
