On Nov. 5 at 1:34 p.m., a terrorist named Major Nidal Hasan attacked fellow soldiers and civilians at Fort Hood, Texas. When the shooting ended, he had killed 12 soldiers and one civilian and wounded 43 others.
Spc. Frederick Greene, 29, of Mountain City, Tennessee, Pfc. Aaron Thomas Nemelka, 19, of West Jordan, Utah, Pfc. Michael Pearson, 22, of Bolingbrook, Illinois, and Spc. Kham Xiong, 23, of St. Paul, Minnesota, along with eleven of the wounded were active CrossFitters in the 20th Engineer Battalion, home to Lumberjack CrossFit.
This workout is in honor these soldiers, one month after the murderous rampage. We are asking the CrossFit community to make donations in honor of these soldiers at cflumberjack.org.

I can't be at the gym at 11.00 am today so I will donate online and make up the workout during the week. I will be there in spirit and thinking of the soldiers - I am so grateful for all brave souls who serve and protect, including so many of my fellow crossfitters.

Everyone did a great job today honoring our Fort Hood brothers. Thank you to everyone who came to show their support. A big thank you goes out to all of our Military, Fire, and LEO who do a great job keeping the rest of us safe. I wish workouts like this could come under different circumstances.
** Brian Scislo's time is under review because Robin told me that he was doing improper BOX JUMPS.

Susan I did make it to the gym, but wasn't able to do the WOD. If you want to meet some time this week, we can do it together! Otherwise I'll probably do it at home the best I can.

I am sorry that I missed this one. I will make it up next week as well. I also got 2nd in a mens tournament today but was jumping out of the gym My hitting percentage was like 85%... in case you don;t know that is really good. Probably the best I have hit in an indoor tournament in my life. Not even tired...CrossFit is crazy good for volleyball!

Didn't make it out today. Way to go guys. Tought workout in some mean weather.
Jason, hope you didn't mind my positive encouragement as I was leaving the granite store across the street. I can't believe you were out running in short sleeve.

Joseph, I almost gave you the one fingered wave. I could hardly see straight because I was so gassed. And I had no idea who was yelling at me, for all I knew it could have been Brice.

Great job to everyone that participated. Workout was tought in its self, but the cold wind made the runs brutal. I felt like coughing blood during the runs.
Make sure all of you donate something to the fallen soldiers on this workout. Every little bit will make a difference to the families of these guys.
