http://sanfranciscocrossfit.blogspot.com/2008/08/sleep-check.html
Sleep, I know a lot of us have crazy schedules and because of our duties we may not have full control over how much sleep we get, but make sure you take your amount of sleep into consideration if your on the fence about whether or not to workout or about scaling a workout. Sleep is easily number three on the list of most important keys to your fitness, maybe even 2. I think I would put sleep above exercise in a list. Not quite as important as nutrition, but if the question is workout or sleep you have to look at which you have been doing less of and do that. Good weekend all.

thanks for filling in jerimiah, hope the turn out was great.
Well i met two of the worst trainers/owners at the state clinic. i have met them face to face before and saw first hand what they do at their facility. Not going to drop names, but that left a sour taste in my mouth.
On the other note there wasn't anything new, or better yet, anything we haven't done at Crossfit Tulsa. So while everyone is playing catch up, we continue to grow and evolve into stellar athletes.
yes, by my definition you are all athletes.
anyways to get out my frustrations I came in about 6;30 and did
5 x 5 front squats
135/155/175/185/190
It was great and refreshing to see names and times posted, made we all warm and fuzzy inside.
Thanks to everyone :)

Jerimiah you are telling the truth my friend. I use to take sleep for granted, now I have made it a priority in my life. I try to always make sure that I get at least 8 hrs a night. Work has been really busy for me lately and I have been getting off and going to bed really late. I still make sure I get my 8hrs in non matter what time I go to bed.
It is a huge factor in my workouts and my recovery. Part of being old requires good sleep.

Unfortunately I had no-one show up. I got to talk to some of the the runners for a bit, and hung around til 9:15, but no takers. Oh well see you next week.

So, I guess the 4 to 5 hours of sleep I get a night isn't cuttin it?
